The Wingers Blame Jay Rockefeller for the NSA Leak

Poor Jay Rockefeller. First he incurs our ire because he sells out his ostensible pro-choice credentials by voting against the Alito filibuster, and then the right-wingers don't even have the courtesy to give him the support he was trying to buy with that vote. Now they're accusing him of being the source of the "leak" that the NSA has been illegally spying on thousands of Americans with the President's consent.

Does anyone remember Gonzalez' first day of testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, when he said that if any Members of Congress thought the program was unconstitutional, they SHOULD have leaked it?

I don't blame the right-wingers for being such hypocrites; they've established, over and over and over, that appeasing them just earns their contempt, not their support. I do challenge Rockefeller and others like him to wake up and realize that we, not they, are their supporters, and that when the wingnuts come gunning for him, it's our support he really needs.
