If you think you can kill in the womb, is any one safe? What if the public opinion deems old people a financial drain on the government who is left to foot the bill for their care? Or "different people" as unhappy segments that are a threat to the rest of society!

The "freedom of choice" is often none other than a grisly avoidance of the consequences of extra marital sex. or a cover for an older male abusing and under age girl.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21506744.post-65613482943190216802008-07-23T05:56:00.000-07:002008-07-23T05:56:00.000-07:00Next, AT&T and Verizon will be listening to pr...Next, AT&T and Verizon will be listening to pregnant women's stomachs.Vera Similitudehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00035653265399642064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21506744.post-33786579697395374462008-07-22T18:02:00.000-07:002008-07-22T18:02:00.000-07:00"McCain on his own intelligence:"You don't have to..."McCain on his own intelligence:

"You don't have to be real smart. I stood fifth from the bottom of my class at the naval academy, which shows in America anything is possible.""

Hah. Reminds one of Reagan's idiocies a bit. You don't have to be smart; just be a go-getter, know the right people, wave the flag, get the right photo-ops etc.

Unfortunately, I believe many Obama supporters have tilted towards vichy-cratism (McCainism is more like fascism itself, though of the Robert Heinlein/WF Buckley heroic sort, slightly more nauseating than say Mussolini). Vichy-crats are in a sense machiavellian: they insist the Dem must win at any cost, so anything goes, even appearing like conservatives (like BO shaking hands with creationists, questioning the First Amendment, quoting Reagan, talking tough on terrorism, war, etc. Hillary of course did that to some extent as well).

I believe any authentic progressive or Dem. should object to that tactic, even ones who felt (rightly or wrongly) that there may have been some justification for the IWE. That's still up for grabs, but at the very least Dems should continue to push for a more thorough investigation of the IWE (I tend to think Bush/Cheney/Rice/Rumsfeld ran with a few scant traces of WMDs, and blew it way out of proportion when war-fever was rolling). Obama himself now sounds committed to continuing the war effort, at least to some degree. Perhaps a rally for "Don't Vote for either" might do something.Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11567400697675996283noreply@blogger.com
